The young women
shaping policy.
PolicyForHer is a case-study policy-making competition for high-school girls, anywhere in the world.
You read a real policy, find what isn’t working, and argue a reform that could actually happen.
Free to enter, built to put young women’s voices into the rooms where policy is made.
What it is
Real policy. Real reform. Written by girls.
Women are still under-represented in policymaking and leadership, not for lack of ability, but for lack of early access and exposure. PolicyForHer is a fully online competition that hands young women a real policy problem and asks the hardest, most useful question there is: how would you fix it?
How it works
One case study. Three rounds.
Everyone starts from the same real-world case. Each round asks for a sharper, more implementable idea, until fifteen finalists remain. See the full format →
After registering, every participant receives a real-world policy case. Analyse it and submit a researched slide deck (PDF, up to six slides) that identifies what isn’t working and proposes a practical reform.
Take on a more contentious policy in the same deck format, then bring it to life with a short (~90-second) video that explains your amended policy in the voice of a political figure from the country it affects.
Finalists present their work live to the jury over a timed Zoom, with a Q&A that tests policy analysis, communication and thinking on your feet. Fifteen finalists share the scholarship pool, awarded as One Young India credit.
What the jury rewards
Four things, every entry.
A crisp argument a policymaker could act on, no jargon for its own sake.
Real engagement with how the policy works and why it falls short.
A reform that could actually be implemented, not just an ideal.
A point of view that is genuinely the participant’s own.
