Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OYI Learning Systems LLP (dba One Young India) ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the One Young India website and Services. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Data we collect
- Account & identity: name, email, and (via sign-in) your member profile.
- Booking & enquiry: participant name, grade, school, city, and parent/guardian contact details you provide.
- Payment: processed by Razorpay; we receive confirmation and a payment reference, not your full card details.
- Usage: basic technical data needed to operate the site securely.
- Writing Studio: the drafts, author details, sources and files you save, your review history, and records needed to apply membership, trial and AI usage allowances.
2. How we use it
To provide and confirm programs and memberships, contact you about your booking or account, respond to enquiries, meet legal and accounting obligations, and improve our Services. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us operate, for example our payment processor (Razorpay) and our backend/hosting providers, and with program partners strictly as needed to deliver a program you've booked, and where required by law. Some providers (for example our hosting, backend, and payment partners) may store or process data on servers outside India; where they do, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected.
Writing Studio and AI assistance
Your saved drafts and review records are held in our Wix backend. The Studio also keeps a recovery copy in the browser you use. On a shared device, sign out when you finish and clear that browser's site data if you need to remove local copies.
AI assistance is optional. When you request coaching, or enable live suggestions, the provider named in the Studio receives your writing format, title and the draft text being reviewed. A deep review also uses the saved abstract and writing context. The World 101 companion sends your question and the selected subject's context. Account login credentials are not included in these AI requests. Avoid putting private contact details or sensitive personal information into prompts or drafts sent for AI feedback.
Student AI assistance is processed by Cloudflare Workers AI. Cloudflare states that it does not use Workers AI customer content to train models or improve its services without explicit consent. See Cloudflare's data handling information. Turning off live suggestions stops new automatic requests; it does not cancel a request already sent to the provider.
Built with Llama. Model licences: Llama 3.1 and Llama 3.3.
AI feedback does not publish your work. Submitting for editorial review shares the draft with authorised One Young India reviewers. Work approved for publication becomes publicly accessible with its credited author details. Reviewers assess authorship, evidence and publication rights; automated feedback cannot establish these on its own.
4. Children's data
Where a participant is a minor, we collect their data through a parent or guardian, who provides consent on their behalf. We limit collection to what a program reasonably requires.
5. Retention & security
We keep personal data for as long as your account or membership is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations (generally up to six to eight years for financial and tax records), after which we delete or anonymise it. A child’s data is kept only as long as needed to deliver the programme and meet these obligations. We apply reasonable safeguards, and member login sessions are held securely and never expose your credentials to the browser.
A record that an account has used its Essential trial remains after the trial ends so the same account cannot repeatedly activate free access. Data requests, including account deletion requests, can be made through the contact below.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent, subject to legal limits. To exercise any of these rights, email our Grievance Officer at info@oneyoungindia.com with the subject "Data request" and the email or account your data is associated with. We will verify your identity and respond within the timelines required by the DPDP Act, aiming to acknowledge within 2 working days. If you are a parent or guardian acting on behalf of a minor, please tell us so we can verify your authority.
