Every era's dominant technology becomes a lever of political power, a way to watch, silence and steer people, and a prize everyone fights to control; today that technology is AI. Whoever owns the tools of the moment, from the printing press to the internet, shapes what a whole society can see and say. The printing press helped build whole nations, radio handed a stage to shouting dictators, and today's algorithmic feeds boost angry populists. Notice the pattern: whichever medium dominates changes who ends up ruling. The channel itself is a political weapon before a single word of content even shows up.
