Also known as SD
Sustainable development means improving human lives, from schools to jobs to clean water, without burning through the planet's limits, and the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals put that idea into a shared checklist. At its core it links to Economics, especially the hard work of escaping poverty without wrecking the environment that the poor depend on most. It connects to Philosophy's question of right and wrong, because it weighs today's needs against tomorrow's, and to Business leadership, since real progress depends on people making tough decisions under pressure. It even touches Psychology, because measuring wellbeing, not just money, is part of judging whether development actually worked.
